DO NOT TEXT WHILE DRIVING ... Do Not Text and Drive!!!!!!

This cannot be said enough! Too many people are still dying from texting while driving. 

A few years back, someone nearly creamed me from behind. I was making a left turn and had to wait for oncoming cars. The road was straight with no curves, no blind spot, giving the driver of the car coming up behind me a clear field of vision. There was no excuse not to see me (except that the driver was not looking at the road). 

My focus had been on the oncoming cars and another car that was trying to back into the road. When I looked in my review mirror, it was too late for me to do anything. Fortunately, the driver looked up in time to see me and went flying into the shoulder of the road. The shoulder was wide and relatively flat. Had a wide shoulder not been accessible at that point, and had the driver not looked up in time to see me, we both probably would have been killed. 

It only takes a few seconds for a fast moving car to close the gap between it and anything else in its path. Stay focused on driving, not your phone!!!
